Our 9 day adventure tour is a great option if you have some time between Christchurch and Auckland and will maximise your time travelling between them. It is suitable for both those travellers who want a taste of New Zealand, AND those who have already spent some time here. We show you our capital city Wellington alongside some truly untouched parts of the country.
We are particularly proud of our accommodation choices for this tour. In Punakaiki we stay at a retreat surrounded by pure West Coast rainforest just 5 minutes from the beach. Along the outskirts of Abel Tasman National Park we spend the night on a 100 acre farm nestled in the Marahau Valley. On day 7, River Valley is a unique adventure lodge situated far from urban life – a beautiful setting perfect for both relaxing and finding adventure!
The adventure certainly never stops either! From kayaking in Abel Tasman National Park, to white water rafting in River Valley, to learning to surf in Raglan - there are some wicked activities to choose from. Nevertheless if you just feel like sitting back and enjoying the journey, you won't be disappointed. These are some truly beautiful parts of New Zealand.

Where does this tour start?
Christchurch Rail Station, Addington. There is a free bus service from the city centre provided by Canterbury Shuttles. You begin your tour with a scenic train journey from Christchurch to Greymouth, where your guide will meet you.
Where does this tour end?
Auckland CBD, outside the YHA International, 5 Turner Street. However, you can request an alternative city centre drop off from your guide.
What ages are for this tour for?
Simple; all ages! As long as you are 18+, you are welcome on our tours. You can customize your tour with activities to suit your travel style, whether you want to focus on the beautiful scenery, adventure, sports or a budget holiday where you can take advantage of our free and low-cost activities instead. We welcome travellers of all types; attitude matters, not age!

There is no rule to this – some people will choose lots, others will be content with the tour itself and the free or low cost activities that your tour guide will find for you along the road. For the 9 day tour we would suggest no more than one activity per location.
