If you have less than 2 weeks in our beautiful country then we highly recommend focusing on one island, and our 12 day South Island tour is designed exactly with this in mind! We give you more time in our favourite locations such as Queenstown, Franz Josef and capital city Wellington.
Abel Tasman may be our smallest national park, but we reckon it must be one of the most beautiful, with golden sands and lush rainforest. Along the west coast in Punakaiki we stay at a wicked retreat surrounded by native rainforest, just 5 minutes from the beach! And then there are the picture-perfect alpine villages of Wanaka and Tekapo, both situated alongside deep blue lakes fringed by snow-capped mountains. Perfect!
There are plenty of opportunities for an adrenalin rush - an endless list of fun just waiting to happen! Alternatively just sit back and let us show you the most beautiful country on the planet.

Where does this tour start?
Haka Lodge, 518 Linwood Ave, Christchurch @ 8am on Day 1. The #21 bus stops directly in front of our lodge and takes 10mins from town. Though 90% of our customers stay at Haka Lodge the night before the tour starts which means a super relaxed start to the tour and an awesome informal to meet everyone before the tour.
Where does this tour end?
YHA Wellington, 292 Wakefield St, Wellington city centre. Though you have the option to extend your tour for 3 days via River Valley, Tongariro National Park, Raglan for just $359 NZD! If you choose this extension option, your tour will end at YHA International, 5 Turner St, Auckland at 5pm.

This extension is the perfect option for travelers who want to experience some the "off the beaten path" locations in the North Island! On Day 12 of your Adrenalin Junkie Tour, we make our way to "River Valley" which is New Zealand's original adventure lodge nestled in some awesome scenery in the Rangitikei District. River Valley is home to sound world-class rafting and horse-trekking! The following day we make our way to Tongariro National Park which is home to the "Tongariro Crossing" which has been named 1 of the top 10 day walks in the world. Don't worry if a day walk isn't high on your agenda. - this is a stunning area made famous in many major scenes in the 'Lord of the Rings' films with a huge amount of natural walks, bike tracks and kayaking options available. During the winter it becomes a snow haven for skiers and snowboarders! The following day we head to Raglan, the surfing mecca of New Zealand but also a small, vibrant and artistic community. On the final day we drive to Auckland where the tour ends at approx 5pm.
What are the ages and what type of people choose this tour?
70% of our customers are solo travelers. The other 30% are 2 or more friends traveling together or couples. Ages can range between 18 and 45 though we do take people on our tours who are older than 45 as we believe attitude is more important than age. Furthermore, we attract people who want to see as much as NZ as possible, be part of a small personal group as opposed to travelling on a large 50 seater coach and are looking to push their own personal boundaries! (and remember, nothing is compulsory on our tours!)
How many additional activities would you recommend booking for this tour?
There is no rule to this – some people will choose lots, others will be content with the tour itself and the free or low cost activities that your tour guide will find for you along the road. The bottom line is that you do not need to add extra activities to have an awesome time but we would suggest pre-booking any "must do" activities to benefit from the exclusively discounted online price.
