Our 24 day EPIC NZ adventure tour covers all bases... and beyond! You will get up-close and personal with New Zealand's deepest and darkest secrets, whilst discovering the country’s hottest destinations.
If you want to travel New Zealand in the detail it deserves, we do recommend 3 or 4 weeks. This will allow you to truly get to grips with what our beautiful country has to offer you. We designed our 24 day adventure tour with this in mind, and the route has gradually evolved with previous groups' feedback.
The route
Starting and ending in our biggest city Auckland, the tour descends down the middle of the North Island. From Wellington we catch the ferry across the Cook Strait to the South Island, which we then circle in a clockwise direction before returning to the North. If you have longer than 24 days we definitely suggest you look at our "Before / After Your Tour" section in the itinerary because we do have ideas and we can help!

Our 24 day tour begins at YHA International, 5 Turner St, Auckland.
Where does this tour end?
At the same location, but you may ask your guide to drop you off somewhere else in the city centre if needed.
How does your price compare to your competitors?
Our pricing is very competitive. Unlike a lot of our competitors, with us you get so much more than a bus pass! You get accommodation, transport, a unique guide and so much more. For more information, click here.
How many additional activities would you recommend booking for this tour?
There is no rule to this – some people will choose lots, others will be content with the tour itself and the free or low cost activities that your tour guide will find for you along the road. For the 24 day tour we would suggest no more than one activity per location, with the exception of Rotorua, Taupo, Queenstown and Franz Josef - all places where two activities can be fitted in. Sometimes you can even fit three into Queenstown!

What is the minimum age?
The minimum age is 18+. We have people of all ages on our tours, usually ranging from 18-45. But that is by no means the limit, we have been known to have people 60+ on our tours! At Haka Tours, everyone is welcome.
