Discover Scuba - Goat Island (Leigh)
Goat Island
Our Discover Scuba course is a great introduction to first-time divers wanting to learn the basic skills needed to scuba dive safely. The dive takes place at Goat Island, New Zealand’s first established marine reserve, just an hour north of Auckland. The water here is perfect for your first underwater experience – safe, sheltered and calm.

On your dive, expect to see a huge diversity of sea life – huge crayfish, stingrays, big snappers, blue mao mao, goat fish spotties, king fish and heaps more!

This diving experience accounts for a third of your PADI open water course and will involve one or two dives. It is taken by our tour manager Steve who is a 110% passionate, fully qualified master scuba diver (mdst) with 6 years’ experience on nearly 3000 dives. This activity is run in association with Goat Island Dive.
