If touring in a large group is not your cup of tea, perhaps you should consider a small group tour, with less travelers, and more opportunity to do what you want to do. Small group tours in New Zealand are the answer. New Zealand has to be experienced at a pace that suits what you want to see, and what you want to participate in. Often with an organised bus tour, you are very much restrained by what the itinerary for the whole group is for any one day. And because they usually have so many people to cater for, there is not often much flexibility to change the plan that is laid out. Because of this, you are much better off on a small group tour of New Zealand, because there is nothing set in stone, and there are a lot more opportunities to spend longer in the places you really want to see, and quickly pass through others you may not be so interested in.
