An activity on most people’s bucket list! Dusky dolphins inhabit the coastal waters off Kaikoura all year round and can be encountered every day, weather permitting. This means that the success rate of swimming with dolphins is second to none.
On the dolphin tour you are also sometimes lucky enough to see other marine mammals such as orca (killer whales), pilot whales, New Zealand fur seals, and Hector dolphins.
There is a complete guided commentary throughout the duration of the activity. The boats are also fitted with hot deck showers and toilets for passenger comfort and have covered areas for protection against the elements.

Fitness level: moderate – must be able to swim as involves snorkelling
Included: Wetsuit, mask, snorkel and flippers. Hot showers on deck.
You will need: Swimwear and towel. We recommend taking medication if you are prone to motion sickness.
