The Lowdown
Hot Water Beach in Coromandel is a great place to learn to surf. They also teach surf life saving, first aid and surf coaching qualifications and give a three hour surf lesson on surf technique, surf safety and surf awareness. The wave is a gentle rolling wave and a great place to learn!
Notes
Fitness level: Moderate – must be able to swim.
Included: Surf hire and wetsuit, instruction.
You will need: Swimwear and towel.
