The Shark Cage is partially submerged in our predator tank – home to School, Wobbegong and Broadnose Sevengill sharks - so you’re guaranteed to have a close encounter of the shark kind, every time.

Through the cage’s clear Perspex bottom you can marvel at sharks, stingrays and other fish from New Zealand’s coastal waters swimming below, or past the mesh walls of the cage – often only feet away.

With no diving experience required, and all the instruction you need from our experienced guides, this is the easiest, safest and most exciting way to meet the often feared predators of the deep.

Shark Diving No Cage $120.00 NZD

Your thrilling underwater guided tour will bring you up close and personal with Bronze Whaler and Sevengill Sharks, Giant Stingrays and other large fish!

Fully-qualified instructors will ensure that your dive is a never to be forgotten experience! With small groups of up to 3 per dive, the instructors will ensure that you are in safe hands at all times and guide you through the crystal clear waters of the sharks' lair!!

Notes

Fitness level: moderate, ability to swim is required

Included: Wetsuits and all equipment

What you need: Swimwear and towel, covered footwear, PADI Discover Scuba Certificate (or equivalent) for the Shark Diving

Both experiences take place in a controlled environment in an aquarium, not in open water. Both experiences only run Thursday – Sunday so you need to check whether you are in Auckland during these days. Shark diving is not permitted if you are pregnant, have asthma or are due to fly within 48 hours of being underwater.
