The Lowdown
The Kaituna River is home to the highest commercially rafted waterfall, the 7 metre Tutea falls. This trip is a fantastic introduction to white water rafting for those who have never or barely rafted before. Nevertheless, we promise the more experienced amongst you will not fail to be impressed by the incredible waterfall at the end of the route!
In rafts of 4-6 people you will pass through steep, bush clad canyons over 14 awesome drops – grade 4 and 5 rapids. The rafting guides are at the top of their game with heaps of knowledge and safety awareness. They also bring a touch of culture to the journey.
A unique mix of history, culture and adrenalin overload.
Notes
Fitness level: moderate – but you actually do not need to know how to swim
Included: Wetsuits, booties, lifejackets and all equipment. One or two professional guides per raft.
You will need: Swimwear and towel. No experience necessary!
